Eric Barone, otherwise known as ConcernedApe, is creating a new title, Haunted Chocolatier, inspired by the success of Stardew Valley. The game is a life simulation, exploration, chocolate-making, and action-RPG in an enigmatic world, populated by unusual characters and supernatural themes.

Who are Haunted Chocolatier?

It is Haunted Chocolatier, where players will assume the role of a chocolatier whose life is haunted in a haunted castle. The central theme is to develop and operate a chocolate shop, rather than operate a traditional farm as in Stardew Valley.

Players will be collecting ingredients, producing various chocolate products, and selling them in their shop. Meanwhile, the game will enable the player to wander through the world, meet citizens of the town, and learn more about the mysterious surroundings.

In June of 2026, he gave yet another update indicating that the work continued. He has taken great care to make popular features such as the chocolate recipe system look like it has been refined in order to make it satisfying and polished.
